OK so for all of you laptop gamers with intel hd 4000 graphics cards i know there has been a lot of speculation as to how total war rome 2 actually performs.Today i brought the game and took a risk knowing that it may not perform very well at all, but to my disbelief i was more then satisfied with the performance.I was able to run Total war 2 with medium graphics smoothly, along with basic anti-aliasing with a fps of around 40.On medium the graphics look much better then i was expecting and can be increased even further if you are willing to play at around 30 fps on a medium sized battle big battles will suffer but if kept on medium will drop to about 25 which is just enough to be able to play acceptably.Overall Intel hd graphics are not brilliant but when it comes to this game you will be very surprised its actually able to play it, this is mainly down to the how good job the Total war developers have done in optimization for intel so i give you a personal thank you. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.848 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.In January 2011, the Sandy Bridge processors were released, introducing the 'second generation' HD Graphics: Its direct predecessor, the GMA X4500, featured 10 EUs at 800 MHz, but it lacked some capabilities. You could shorten the lifespan of your laptop forcing it to do something it was not designed to do. Laptops with integrated graphics are not designed to play 3d games like the sims. If your laptop one day can no longer run the game, you will be stuck buying a new computer again to continue playing. I have a 1440p monitor with an old computer that has Intel HD 4000, which doesnt support outputtin to 1440p natively. Recommended requirements are there so you don't fall behind. If your laptop is under recommended requirements you may not survive the game with all the add ons. As I explained to you laptops can not be upgraded when it comes to processor and video card.

This thread is old and what could run the game in the beginning can't run the game now. I really need it to double as a laptop for college so I'm fine sacrificing some graphics for it and I don't trust the Acer brands that have been recommended because I had one that busted within a year of getting it. It doesn't meet the requirements but I was told my current laptop wouldn't be able to run the game at all and it runs it on low just fine? This thread was specifically about Intel Graphics so I figured they might have more info about Intel Graphics specifically.
